Swarovski Optiks Z6i Illuminated Riflescope (1.7-10x42, 4A-I-Reticule)

Swarovski Optiks Z6i Illuminated Riflescope (1.7-10x42, 4A-I-Reticule) Review

Swarovski Optiks Z6i Illuminated Riflescope (1.7-10x42, 4A-I-Reticule) Feature

  • High-quality all-around riflescope with 1.7-10x magnification range
  • 75.6-foot field of view @ 1,000 yards; 3.74 inches of eye relief
  • 1.18-inch main tube with patented rail for easy mounting
  • Includes illuminated 4A-I reticle for better dusk or nighttime hunting
  • Measures 12.75 inches long and weighs 16 ounces; lifetime warranty
Taking its cue from the practical challenges of modern hunters, the Swarovski Z6i 1.7-10x42 illuminated riflescope is an ideal scope for all-around hunting. Hidden behind the elegant appearance of the Z6i is state-of-the-art technology that has revolutionized the practical benefit of a riflescope. This version of the Z6i is outfitted with a versatile 1.7-10x magnification range and a 42mm objective lens, helping unite all the different requirements for forest, field, and mountain hunting in a single tube body. For example, the scope supports close-in hunting through its 1.7x setting and 75.6-foot field of view.

The Z6i 1.7-10x42 riflescope lets you efficiently hunt targets at several distances.
However, should you need to shoot at medium- or long-distance targets, you can zoom to 10x for more accurate results. And to help you accurately line up your shot, the scope includes a precise 4A-I illuminated reticle. The reticle's illumination makes the scope suitable for dusk and nighttime hunts, with a low profile that provides an unrestricted view while in the firing position. Plus, the built-in illumination unit on the eyepiece--which includes ergonomic day/night controls and +/- controls--is well protected by a sturdy, watertight housing.

The scope's sophisticated lens optics produces a wide field of view and optimum edge-to-edge sharpness.
Swarovski Z6i riflescopes offer a number of common features, including a 1.18-inch main tube, a quadratic or rectangular adjustment range, a series of microstructure grooves, innovative lens optics, and robust mechanics. The slim and shapely main tube--which is made of a rugged light alloy--fits every type of rifle, with a patented Swarovski Optik SR rail for easy mounting and high recoil resistance. The quadratic or rectangular adjustment system, meanwhile, lets you enjoy a full range of elevation/windage even in the marginal areas of the adjustment range. The adjustment mechanism also includes a zero setting system, so you can precisely adjust the point of impact without using tools.

The construction details are the scope's true distinguishing features, however. The microstructure grooves, for example, offer precisely defined ribbing, which prevents residual reflections inside the tube to produce bright, high-contrast images even in intense light. The sizable magnification range stems from the innovative lens design, a sophisticated, high-light-transmission optical system that produces a wide field of view, optimum edge-to-edge sharpness, and a steady reticle system. And to keep it all together, Swarovski added such robust mechanics as a coil spring system that delivers excellent shot-by-shot precision, shock-resistance even with large-caliber rifles, a nitrogen-filled body to prevent fogging, and a waterproof exterior that's safe to depths of up to 13 feet. All Swarovski riflescopes carry a lifetime warranty.

The scope comes with an illuminated 4A-I reticle for precise aiming in low-light conditions.

About Swarovski Optik
Although founded in 1949, Swarovski Optik's roots actually trace all the way back to 1895, when Austrian Daniel Swarovski--who invented the world's first electric grinding machine for jewelry stones--established the family-owned Swarovski Crystal in the province of Tyrol. Since then, the name Swarovski has become synonymous worldwide with the clearest crystal, precision grinding, and a brilliant spirit of innovation, as the original enterprise continued branching out into additional lines of business.

Swarovski Optik owes its rise to Wilhelm Swarovski, son of the original founder and an avid hobby astronomer, who decided to build his own improved binocular in 1935 at a mere 17 years of age. With access to the specialized glass production and finishing technologies already used to manufacture jewelry stones in his father's factory, Wilhelm managed to develop a novel prism fabrication and grinding process that he applied in constructing his first 6x30 binocular. Wilhelm went on to found Swarovski Optik KG in Absam, Tyrol, in 1949, thus laying the foundation for a sports optics company with a global reputation. His company's first serial product, the Habicht 7x42, is still an industry standard in the field of hunting optics and continues to be produced in the best tradition of its founder.

The Z6 1.7-10 x 42 is an exceptional choice for all around hunting. The 42mm objective is sleek and slender and minimizes size and weight. The Z6 is the first ever hunting scope with a 6X magnification range, allowing for unsurpassed versatility. Extremely wide field of view, 75' at 100 yards at the lowest power, more than twice the field of view of many other comparable scopes and more than any other.

Carl Zeiss Optical Inc Diavari Riflescope with Rapid-Z 1000 ASV Shooting Turrets (6-24x56 T FL LT 30mm)

Carl Zeiss Optical Inc Diavari Riflescope with Rapid-Z 1000 ASV Shooting Turrets (6-24x56 T FL LT 30mm) Review

Carl Zeiss Optical Inc Diavari Riflescope with Rapid-Z 1000 ASV Shooting Turrets (6-24x56 T FL LT 30mm) Feature

  • Versatile riflescope with 6 to 24x magnification and 56mm objective lens
  • FL Concept optics with fluoride glass help maximize performance in low-light conditions
  • LotuTec lens coating efficiently repels water for better use during downpours
  • Rapid-Z 1000 reticle with shooting turret; 3.54 inches of eye relief
  • Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof housing; measures 14.84 inches long
With a high power range and fluoride glass that significantly reduces chromatic aberration, the Carl Zeiss Diavari 6-24x56 riflescope is the ultimate choice for varmint hunters and long-range target shooters. The Diavari scope delivers a brilliant optical performance, with a large 56mm objective diameter that excels in twilight conditions, along with a LotuTec lens coating and Zeiss T multicoating that combine to produce crisp, ultra-sharp images. The scope is also nitrogen-filled and O-ring-sealed, helping it keep out water and fog when the weather takes a turn for the worse. Other features include a Rapid-Z 1000 reticle with a shooting turret, an elegant ergonomic design, and Lockaboe 1/4-inch MOA windage and elevation turrets.

Diavari Optics
The flagship feature of select Victory Diavari riflescopes is the FL Concept optical system. The FL Concept, which integrates a number of Zeiss innovations, uses fluoride glass to maximize performance, helping you get the most out of every moment in the field. The resulting images are brighter and sharper and the colors are more vivid and highly saturated. Plus, the optics perform well in extended twilight and low-light conditions, even in the most unforgiving weather. And unlike ordinary optical systems, the FL Concept significantly minimizes chromatic aberrations and virtually eliminates annoying stray light interference, image fuzziness, and low contrast, allowing you to reap the ultimate visual rewards.

The FL Concept system starts with a thin lens design that employs multiple air-spaced elements to reduce weight, improve resolution, and minimize distortions. Zeiss also added a highly sophisticated eyepiece design that creates a wide field of view and long eye relief. Other details include exceptional internal baffling against stray light; T* anti-reflective multilayer coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces for brighter, high-contrast images; high-efficiency prisms for improved light transmission; and P* phase correction prism coatings for better resolution.

The scope also features a LotuTec coating that excels in inclement weather. Zeiss believes that whether you're out in the field in heavy rain or entrenched in a bug-infested swamp, the last thing that should interfere with the moment is water and dirt on your lenses. Like a lotus leaf, the LotuTec coating on the objective and ocular lenses repels water so efficiently that raindrops literally roll right off the glass. In addition, hunters can easily wipe the super-smooth lens surface clean without smearing or damaging the optics. As a testament to its superiority over other lens coatings, the LotuTec was honored with the prestigious Gray's Best award, recognizing it as the only optical process that allows lenses to shed water completely. Even in the heaviest downpours, your lenses will remain free from water and dirt, so the view will be as impeccable as ever.

The Rapid-Z 1000 Reticle
The state-of-the-art Rapid-Z 1000 ballistic reticle gives long-range hunters the advantage of precision aiming, with accurate holdover and wind-corrected information for shots at extended distances without complication. And because the reticle is located in the second image plane, there is minimal target cover even at high magnification. Combined with an integrated ranging feature, the scope clearly displays all the information you need to make clean, precise shots from the greatest distances, eliminating the need for estimation or timely calculations. Rapid-Z ballistic reticles feature numbered holdover lines that correspond to target distances and wind compensation hashes to correct for crosswinds. Once the distance and crosswind have been determined, the corresponding holdover line is placed of your target to encourage a precise shot every time.

The Diavari riflescope includes a Rapid-Z 1000 ballistic reticle.
